Northstar Café
The first things I noticed when I walked into the Nortstar Café on High Street is this, laid back, hip and artsy atmosphere that welcomes you into the restaurant. While you are waiting in line you can see the freshly made ginger ales, the gigantic homemade cookies, and the list of the specials of the day. All of theses you are craving to have, while you wait in a line to order.
The menu consists of mostly Asian and Latin fusion. It also contains Burgers, sandwiches and pizzas. All of these items are or have vegetarian and some even vegan friendly options. Every single time I have gone to Northstar Café I get the Buddha Bowl which consists of rice, broccoli, cauliflower, radish, carrots and tofu (or chicken if you don’t like tofu) smothered in a peanut sauce, with a glass of, made from scratch, ginger ale (with lime and mint leaves) to drink. The best thing about the food is that it is all organic. All of the food is also as locally grown as it possibly can be. Knowing this before hand makes you question why you would not eat organic and local all the time!
The downside of the Northstar Café is that it is a bit on the pricey side. Be prepared to drop 13-18 dollars if you want to eat there. This price limits the number of times that you can eat there in a period of time. Unlike a fast food restaurant or even a lower class establishment Northstar has the price range of a more expensive restaurant. This means that it does not receive as many costumers; naturally, do to this fact therefore raising the prices even more.
Once you food comes out, the cozy, laid back seating allows for conversations to form and great memories to be made. This along with the amazing taste of the foods makes it one of my favorite places to eat with family and friends.
